محرابیان در این بازدید، از نزدیك با مسایل و مشكلات طرح آشنا شد.

دستیار ویژه رییس جمهوری، در نشستی با حضور مسوولان اجرایی طرح كه در محل سایت مجتمع پتروشیمی مهاباد برگزار شد، آن را یكی از مهمترین طرح های ملی كشور دانست.

محرابیان گفت: با توجه به این كه عملیات اجرایی احداث این مجتمع از سال 87آغاز شده اما نیاز به جبران تاخیرهای به وجود آمده در سریع ترین زمان ممكن است.

وی با تاكید بر شتاب بخشی در عملیات اجرایی این طرح مهم اقتصادی افزود: كمبود اعتبار از مشكلات این طرح است كه در نشستی در محل استانداری آذربایجان غربی بررسی و درباره آن تصمیم گیری خواهد شد.

مجتمع پتروشیمی مهاباد در زمینی به مساحت بیش از 200 هكتار در 14 كیلومتری این شهر در دست احداث است.

مرحله نخست این مجتمع صنعتی اواخر سال جاری به بهره برداری می رسد.

این مجتمع هم اكنون افزون بر 50 درصد پیشرفت فیزیكی دارد.

طرح مذكور با سرمایه گذاری شش هزار میلیارد ریال احداث می شود كه از این میزان 1/233 میلیون یورو به صورت ارزی تامین خواهد شد.

مجتمع پتروشیمی مهاباد قرار است سالانه 300 هزار تن پلی اتیلن سبك و سنگین و 30 هزار تن 'بوتن یك' را تولید و روانه بازارهای داخلی و خارجی كند.

شهرستان مهاباد در 125كیلومتری جنوب ارومیه مركز استان آذربایجان غربی واقع است.
